Contacts and Scuttlebutt from MYC
News
Friday, July 30th is the second TGIF pursuit race. Open to everyone, pursuits are a good way to enjoy racing without the pressure of the crowded starts. Come on out and give it a try. Separate courses for jib and main and spinnaker boats. Sign up by 5:00PM with Peter Blacklock or Bob Harvey (convey your intentions)
Congratulations to ALL the MYC sailors who competed in the CYC Mac, with special kudos to the skippers and crews of Lady K, Peerless, and Souvenir. Great sailors all!
The MJSA (Junior 501-c3) is looking to replace the overhead door on the lake side of the octogon building. The Juniors are storing the boats in the building and the current door is unsafe and extremely difficult to open. If you are able to support this purchase with a donation, drop it off with Sue with specific direction for this purpose. Contributions are tax deductible.
Swimming lessons begin June 21st at MYC. Information regarding the schedule is here, and an explaination of the skill levels is available here. Further questions should be directed to Jillian Newton at the pool.
