Note from the Chef

Hello again! I will be out of town on vacation this week, so the specials are brought to you by Chef Wes. On Friday, he will be doing blackened steak tips served medium rare with a blue cheese risotto. The Barramundi, or Asian sea bass, will be pan seared and topped with a lemon garlic vinaigrette, and served with spiced sweet potato puree and braised rainbow chard.  Saturday’s housemade tortellini will have zucchini, yellow squash, caramelized onions and grilled chicken then tossed in a pesto cream sauce and served with a garlic baguette.  Join Wes on Sunday for some housemade breakfast sliders with housemade maple sausage, fried egg, sriracha aioli and cheddar cheese. I hope everyone has a wonderful week, and I will see you all back for the wine dinner next Wednesday.

CLUB CORRESPONDENCE

The Grand Rapids Boat Show is this week.  Send your friends and family down to the MYC booth to take advantage of the new member incentive.  All new member applications will receive half of their initiation fee credited back to their account once they are approved. Must be present at the Boat show to receive the incentive.

We still have a couple of seats available for the next wine dinner scheduled for Wednesday, February 22nd.  Menu sent on 2/3/17!  Reservations are required to attend!

The MYC is hosting a Safety at Sea Seminar this year.  Please visit http://www.muskegonyachtclub.org/event/2017-safety-at-sea-seminar/ for more details and instructions on how to register!  Keep in mind: Many race regulations, including the Chicago Mac Safety Regulations, strongly recommend that at least 30% of each boat’s crew have valid offshore Safety at Sea Certifications.
