Overview
Muskegon Yacht Club will be offering the U.S. Sailing Safety at Sea seminar on Saturday, May 6, 2017, with an optional, hands-on second day on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
The classroom and optional hands-on training in the Safety at Sea curriculum are designed to enhance your sailing skills and help make you, your boat and your crew safer. A panel of professionals, including Brian Adams, Dr. Don Crandall, and Bob Dukesherer, have tailored their presentations to give you as much information as possible.  A general overview of the U.S. Sailing Safety at Sea curriculum can be found here:  http://www.ussailing.org/education/safety-at-sea/
Many race regulations, including the Chicago Mac Safety Regulations, strongly recommend that at least 30% of each boat’s crew have valid offshore Safety at Sea Certifications (issued within 5 years before the race).
